Today we had a very full day. It started with a visit to the Chandon winery and a wine tasting. We tasted four different sparkling wines with cheese and crackers. Very nice for those who like sparking wines. Then on to the local water reservoir called Maroondah Dam. A lovely park setting for picnicers and hikers. The waterfalls are running at their fastest in years we have been told. It was raining for most of our hike up to the top. Then we were off to get fish and chips for lunch. We stopped at a local legion and had a great plate of fish and chips. John couldn't leave without stopping in to the attached 'casino' housing slot machines. Vincy insisted that Monika and I play at least one game and put $2 in a penny slot. I managed to walk away with $614.00. Not too bad for a few minutes work. After that we were off to the Sanctuary. We saw many Australian animals and had a treat watching a tasmanian devil devour it's lunch. We are currently resting before we head out for dinner....Arlene
